What is the Code Enforcement Division responsible for?

It is the responsibility of the Code Enforcement Division to work in partnership with property owners, community organizations and other government agencies to maintain a desirable living environment in Will County. 

How do I file a complaint or report a possible code violation?

Please contact the Code Enforcement Division via email or phone at 815-774-3327.

Once a complaint is filed with the Code Enforcement Division, what happens next?

Generally speaking, the owner of the property is given a pre-determined amount of time to correct the violation.  If necessary, the Code Enforcement Division and the Will County State's Attorney's office will file a complaint against a violator that will be heard in court.
